Eventuri has spawned the latest performance mod duo for the Silver Arrows A35 / CLA35 AMG. Packaging continues to be a paramount concern with turbocharged engines—it’s almost inevitable that induction systems exist within close proximity to exhaust manifolds which can rapidly heat soak the engine bay. This Eventuri sealed system intake has been developed to provide the turbo with a less restrictive flow path, greater airbox volume, and low inlet temperatures.
THE TURBO TUBE: EXPLAINED
The Eventuri A35 / CLA35 AMG turbo tube’s aims echo the intake: this optional add-on further improves the laminar flow path from the intake to the turbo. Its internal volume has also been increased to provide more air.
The OE accordion section has been eliminated without detriment—the Eventuri tube is a clever “floating” design, which allows for movement within the airbox as the engine flexes. Please note that the turbo tube may be added in conjunction with the Eventuri intake, but not fitted to the OE unit.
PERFORMANCE: 15-20HP, 15-18FT/LB
The results speak for themselves: the intake alone nets a very healthy 15-20 horsepower gain. The Eventuri box is especially effective at higher RPMs where the stock unit starts to become a restriction.
